We are a small time breeder  based in Cardiff. We have been caring for and breeding  hedgehogs
since 2002. At Bramblewood-Hedgehogs our aim is to provide pet hedgehogs that are friendly,
healthy , happy, and bags of personality.

At Bramblewood we do breed for colour as well as health and temperament. We feel its nothing
wrong in saying people breed for certain colours as long as its not at the top of the list and
always comes behind Health and Temperament.


Any hedgehog that leaves Bramblewood for a new home takes with them:-

• Birth certificate
• Care Sheets
• Lineage
• Soft toy
• Ball
• 2 weeks worth of food
• Calcium and vitamin powder
• Food and water bowls
• Endless After care

Some people may call it “nonsense” offering a hog soft toy and a ball. But I have found hogs do interact  with most objects. Maybe here they just have more personality than others… But on a serious side, it is always a good thing for a baby to be surrounded with things it recognises when they are at a new home and it may help them settle in more easily having  familiar things that smell of their old home around them. We feel any decent breeder will want their hedgie to get the best start in life and not just hand over a hog in a box.
